I'm not seeing things too much further, but I'm sure Acid Pro 7 will be the one. I guess it will still be late in terms of functionnality compared with Cubase SX, but it will have the main weapons in the best GUI implementation possible. Still, I'm glad it became a DAW, and I'm glad they made it the way it is, cuz nothing can beat its workflow in the market yet.
Anyway, they were rushed for this release (they hired urgently 2 or 3 devellopers last july 2005 if you get the picture, and had to finish the product before NAMM in the beginning of the year, and pushed back the official release date from March to April)

I guess it's the same for many audio softwares, but I admit it specially applies to Sony's software line. So for all this, download the demo to see if you like it, and wait 3 month till it gets really rock solid. geez!!!), and for advanced midi recording moves (especially for the inline midi editor).Īnd it might get very unreliable with Rewire (experienced crashes with Reason, and serious freeze with GS3). It's also buggy on some functions (metronome count it doesnt work. Myself still has dirty bugs (freeze, crashes), with for example with NI Guitar Rig 2, or with one or two softsytnh. We've been betatesting this release for almost 5 month. >great potential but just like every other versionĭon't speak too fast ^^.
